our Gatlinburg Trip

babeofbryanWe left early Friday am. I picked Bryan up and drove all the way up. We stopped in Pigeon Forge and ate lunch at the Atlanta Bread Company. It was yummy. Did some shopping. I got a couple of cute things for my daughter. We got into Gatlinburg about 3pm. We checked into our hotel and got out to walk and shop. Our hotel was right next to the Space Needle and the ski lift to Ober Gatlinburg. We walked and shopped til it got too cold to walk around anymore.
Bryan wanted steak so we went to Outback and had a yummy supper then walked a bit more before crashing in our room.
We got up Saturday and drove to Cade's Cove. I wanted to see a bear so badly. We saw 8-10 deer. They came right up to my car. We walked around an old cemetery and church and walked in the woods for a bit. We came back down and we drove toward Cherokee. We stopped at Chimney top. It was a beautiful place. Water crashing over rocks. It was so relaxing. The leaves have turned already and the mountains were so pretty. Back in town the Christmas lights were everywhere. I want to put mine up but I know its early.
We stopped at Applewood Farms(used to be the Burning Bush)It was sooo good. We had apple fritters with apple butter and an apple julep then we order fried chicken. They gave us bowls of homemade soup with it and two vegetables, we were stuffed when we finished eating. We went back to the room to rest a little while then back out. We went to the space needle went up in it. I think it was 34 stories tall. I was a little scared but I did it. We went shopping again. We walked everywhere on Main Street.
We went back to the room about 7 or 8 and snacked some then Bryan ordered a pizza. We crashed about 11 and slept so good.
We got up Sunday and drove to Pigeon Forge after checking out of our hotel. We shopped some more. Bryan loves shopping as much as I do. It took us about 1 hour to get from Pigeon Forge to the interstate to head home. Bryan drove part way home and after dropping him at his house I headed home.
It was 8 when I got in. I watched Desperate Housewives and Boston Legal and crashed.
School was good last night. This is midterm week. I gave my first period students their exams, took about an hour. Then I had computer class the second period. It went well. I came home ate, talked to Bryan and crashed again. I wish I could sleep all day but Im so behind having taken a couple of days off.
