Im in a great mood for a Monday. We had a pretty good weekend. We went to Gay's brother-in-laws visitation Friday night. Im glad I went. I saw a lot of people I havent seen in a long time. His youngest daughter Stacy just held me and cried for so long. I tried to be strong for her. She used to babysit my Kristy when she was young. Friday night I laid across my bed to read and was asleep by 930. Dont know why but I slept like a log. Saturday I went to the funeral. It was really sad. There was a preacher who obviously didnt research well. He mispronounced one of the son-in-laws name and a grandsons name. The names were Hameed and Granite. They are pronounced like they are spelled. Everytime I go to a funeral I get more reasons not to have one. When I die I want no service just cremation and spread me whereever you want to. Im not going to be there.
Saturday after the funeral I went grocery shopping and did some chores around the house. I read some too. I find I dont get much time to read and Im going to change that. We went out for sushi for supper and home to watch the Alabama game. I sure thought they would pull it out and beat Georgia but they didnt. Auburn won too so Bryan was happy.
Sunday Jonathan and I went to church with Gay. I talked to our pastor about becoming members. He said its real simple, SHOW UP. I laughed. We visited afterwards in the Narthex of the church and met some more of the folks who go there. Its just a peaceful feeling when im there. I dont know why. Yesterday he talked about saving our resources. I like that. Jonathan went back to the youth service last night. They are trying to get the youth going with lots of things. They are going to Six Flags, the aquarium in Ga and white water rafting. Next week he has a pool party right after church. Its at the home of one of my old friends I havent seen in awhile. She was married to a lawyer and divorced. Now shes dating another lawyer from NC and they have a house together with a pool. Hopefully they will have an adult party soon.
I listed some Ebay yesterday and did a few things around the house. I didnt cook all weekend except some bacon Saturday morning and coffee. We had Zaxbys for lunch and Sonic for supper last night. I didnt want to go to a big restaurant since we had sushi Saturday.
Oh yeah and I bought some Miami Heat tickets for my daughter. Her bf is a big basketball fan and they will be in Atlanta in December. I bought us some Alice Cooper tickets too! He is going to be http://www.alabamatheatre.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx in Oct. Ive never been to the Alabama. It sort of reminds me of the http://www.foxtheatre.org/. I am looking forward to the next two months. Alice Cooper then The Police.
